I wasn't so taken with this project the first time you wrote about it -- and i'm still not sure i'd have begun to penetrate the lyrics without the link to the original spam -- but i really like this song. More, honestly, than i like most early R.E.M. songs, though i suppose this could be a sign you went wrong somewhere.
But not the vocals: those came out really well. I'm impressed.
